On the River

The exhibition is closed. Please enjoy the information about this past exhibit.

The Saginaw River was not only a place of transportation, but it afforded the opportunity for recreation, raft races and a home away from home. On the River showcases the linkage of one river system with an entire community.

This exhibit is much like a photo album or scrapbook, offering a series of events that are linked by one common theme – water. It spans a time period from 1890 to 1980 of river recreation.
