FIELD TRIPS

Field Trips

The Castle Museum offers students a great place to learn about Saginaw's rich history. We have three tour options to choose from so you can choose which topics best support your classroom’s needs and study requirements.

Our tours are reasonably priced:

  • A guided tour is $3.00 per student

  • A guided tour with an activity is $5.00 per student*

  • Teachers and chaperones are always free

General Tour

A general tour lasts for one hour and covers the building’s history, Native American and early European contact history, as well as how Saginaw transformed into the “lumber capital of the world” and how mining contributed to the county’s growth. This is but a taste of what the museum exhibits have to offer. You are welcome to extend your visit with chaperoned, self-guided exploration.

Group/Adult Tours

Guided tours for groups of 10 or more are welcome! Make the Castle Museum part of your next family reunion, group outing, or convention visit. We have a couple options to choose from, and you are welcome to request a special focus for the tour.

Castle Tour

We know our building is the main attraction. This compact tour is perfect for groups short on time but full of questions about this building. This tour will share the building’s history and its architecture. This focused tour is perfect for groups that don’t have a lot of time to spend at the museum, but it is also flexible because you are welcome to extend your visit with self-guided exploration.
