Constructed in 1912 for John Schmelzer furniture store. At the time it was the tallest building in the business district. In 1961, Schmelzers closed their downtown store. The building was sold and remodeled for Henry Feige & Son. In 1983, Feige moved to Saginaw Township. The structure was demolished in 1994.
